Roy Whales
A modest cowboy from Red Town. He is an ex military man who fought for the north during the war. He still struggles with his past and wishes he never was drafted. Works hard everyday just to scrape a living. He is an honorable man who believes that all men should keep their word. No matter what the cost. He grew up wrangling livestock and hunting in the unknown. He trades furs and meats to the local Indian tribes and has become fluent with their native tongue over the years. Honor and duty mean everything to this man.
Doli
Is a Cherokee. She met Roy during one of his excursions and fell in love. Her tribe blessed their union. Doli is faithful to her husband and is a strict woman. Her and Roy have been trying to have children. Eventually they have a daughter but it is when Roy is stricken with a fever and she never had a chance to tell him.
Priest
A crooked man who uses his status of the church to take advantage of local townsfolk. He makes people feel guilty. Holds his religious position over people to gain a sense of power. He is originally from Ireland. He wants to be addressed as Father or Priest and does not feel people are worthy to know his name. He thinks he is better than everyone and that they owe him for his services.
Marshall Grimes
An ex confederate soldier who sustained a leg injury during the war. Leaving a hateful taste in his mouth against the North. The Marshall has an extremely short temper and takes his anger out in a malicious fashion. He has complete disregard for human life and would as easily kill a woman and child as if they were a man. He rules with Marshall law. Grimes believes that fear is his best weapon against his enemies. He is bitter about the war and the south losing. Grimes wants retribution and through his position as Marshall he seeks out his own brand of justice.
Captain Mose
A man who spent his entire life out at sea. Living by a code amongst pirates. He scours the ocean for treasure and wealth. His ship is everything to him. His crew honors him and look to him for guidance. Mose is smart, cunning and tricky. He wont get into any venture if there is not a profit in it for him.
Benjamin Pratt
A quiet man. Intelligent beyond his years. But his emotions and beliefs get in the way of his experiments. He feels he was granted a mind more superior to any of his time. Pratt intends to conduct any experiment no matter what moral concern there may be. As long as it is in the name of science.
